SURABAYA – In an effort to promote financial literacy in the East Java region, the East Java Representative Office of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) together with MNC Asset Management Surabaya branch held a Mutual Fund Capital Market School. The event, which was conducted offline on Thursday (April 30, 2026), was attended by members of the public who were eager to gain deeper insights into mutual fund investment instruments.
The seminar attracted participants from diverse backgrounds, reflecting strong enthusiasm for expanding knowledge in the field of investment. Through a series of presentations, participants gained comprehensive understanding, ranging from basic concepts to the various benefits of investing in mutual funds.
Rezha Pahlafi, Branch Manager of MNC Asset Management Surabaya, who served as a speaker, explained that mutual funds are an ideal solution for individuals who wish to invest but have limited capital and time to monitor the market independently.
“Mutual funds allow people to start investing with affordable capital while benefiting from diversified risk. Through this program, we hope the people of East Java will become more aware of the importance of investing and be better equipped to manage their finances in the future,” said Rezha.
Meanwhile, Hesty Budiharti, Deputy Head of the East Java Regional Office of IDX, emphasized that financial literacy plays a crucial role in building consistent investment habits.
“Through the Capital Market School program, we aim to strengthen public understanding of investing in the capital market, particularly in mutual funds. We hope participants will not only understand the concepts but also be encouraged to start investing regularly,” she stated.
With the successful implementation of this event, the East Java IDX Representative Office and MNC Asset Management reaffirm their commitment to continuously providing investment education, particularly on mutual funds, in order to increase public participation in the capital market and help individuals plan their finances in a more structured and sustainable manner.
